The private higher educational institution “Institute of Postgraduate Education“ Odessa Maritime Training Center ”(OMTC)  was founded on March 17, 1998.
The learning process at the OMTC is carried out in accordance with international and national requirements with the provision of all necessary maritime documents to students.
The OMTC system of quality education was developed and implemented in 1999, which was presented, certified and approved by the Det Norske Veritas classification society (DNV) in accordance with the rules and requirements for marine training centers. DNV on a permanent basis conducts a re-audit of the activity of the OMTC. The quality control system of the OMTC meets the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and is confirmed by the quality certificates received on behalf of Bureau Veritas Ukraine in 2018.

The center is equipped with modern equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers specializing in equipping standard and specialized vessels. Many of them are our partners and provide us with specially designed simulators for training, which allow us to simulate practically all situations as close as possible to real-world tasks in the operation of the latter on a ship. All available simulators undergo periodic upgrades, expanding functionality through the acquisition of new additional equipment and software. Pieces of training are held in specially equipped classrooms as to approved programs in accordance with the specifics of the course.
